A romantic coming-of-age story set “back then‑ish,” Unlock’d fuses baroque and classical with contemporary pop musical theater in a tale about unlocking the chains that bind us to become the people we are meant to be. The story takes us on a hair‑larious journey through twists and turns in an interwoven tale of mortal and immortal beings.
It’s a battle between the sexes, filled with passion, fun, and romance, as well as surprise endings while individuals untangle their entanglements, find their true selves, and ultimately, fall in love.

Love... who’ll make the cut?
Unlock’d, a whimsical, romantic musical comedy, follows four lovers in an enchanted 18th-century England. Rhyming couplets collide with a contemporary sensibility in this fresh, funny, and moving musical, which has been described as "A Midsummer Night's Dream meets Mean Girls".
Clever Clarissa is tired of living in the shadow of her flirtatious sister Belinda, the most adored woman in England. Wits sharpened and scissors in hand, Clarissa sets out to cut Belinda—and her glorious locks of hair—down to size... and to find a man of her own!
The Baron has it all: good looks, charm, and a sizable inheritance. By contrast, his brother, Edwin, is bookish and shy. Will one—or both—make a love match with Belinda? And will Clarissa get tangled up in the farce and create a snag in the plan?
With an innovative, lush, and quirky musical score featuring electric guitar alongside harpsichord and strings, the lovers and the mischievous spirits that surround them are transformed by human emotion and find their identities and hearts “unlocked” in this cheeky fairytale.
